Within its walls are marble palaces and a grand audience chamber, the Diwan-i-Khas, where Moghul emperors held court and the Peacock Throne once stood.

Red fort is closed to visitors on Mondays. Opposite the fort are the black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century with the 13 metre high Ashoka Pillar of 3rd BC. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Day 3 - Delhi :- Breakfast at hotel AM Depart for Agra by road 204kms/04hrs approx. Enroute visit Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandr. This is the site of Emperor Akbar’s mausoleum. It lies inside a large garden. Slim minarets of the imposing gateway sprout from a wealth of Mohall inlay work in stone. Each floor of the four-storied mausoleum is a series of arcades, tapering to a marble cloister, which seems to float on the top

Agra :- Arrive and transfer to hotel, Half day tour - visiting Taj Mahal - the greatest love story ever told. On the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, in wild extravagance, Shahjehan built her this memorial. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this wealth of white marble and precious stone. Visit Agra Fort - behind its forbidding red sandstone battlements lie palaces that tell the story of the Moghul Empire. The most impressive part of the Fort is the Dewan-e-Aam, where the Emperor sat on his throne to dispense to his subjects, and the Dewan-e-Khas where he received foreign dignitaries.

The Taj Mahal is closed to visitors on Fridays. A brief visit is also made to the marble inlay workshop- where one can see the art that went into the inlay work at the Taj Mahal. This workshop has brought back into India this almost forgotten art style, tomb of Itmad-ud-dullah, father of Queen NurJehan – a two storied tomb bearing mosaics in inlaid semi-precious stones.

Day 4 - Agra , Jaipur :- Breakfast at hotel. There’s the imperial Jama Masjid, the tomb of Shaik Salim Chisti who predicted the birth of Akbar’s son Jehangir, the Panch Mahal, a strange building which resembles a Buddhist Temple, a cloistered courtyard which was the Hall of Public Audience and the Pachchisi paved with black and white where the Emperor played chess using slave girls as figurines.
